Down South

This weekend I'm in our home on Lookout Mountain, Georgia. I always forget how beautiful it is here. This morning the bluff was breathtaking covered in scattered pink, fluffy clouds. It is just me & mom here having a girl's weekend so we are doing what we do best - waking up to coffee, burning out a quick workout, scouting out local shops, finding tasty vegan foods, and giggling at each other.

Today consisted of exploring new areas in Chattanooga, TN. I visited Ware House Row for the first time, I had never seen anything like the place. It is pretty much a rustic but modern little "mall" with local high-end shops. My two favorite places in there were Lines Orchids & Revival. Lines Orchids was a quirky home & garden store. Perfect place to find unique succulents and fun little pots! I wanted every air plant and spiky pot in there! Revival is the most beautiful furniture store you will ever lay your eyeballs on. They have a look similar Restoration Hardware but with flair and a pop of color. You can find antiques, faux taxidermy antlers, classic china, Kate Moss books, and more!

I sported my new plaid jumper thinking it might be a little out of the ordinary, but the plaid was a hit! I found it at a close out sale for $10, originally from Free People.

We spent the latter half of our day in the River View area of Chattanooga. Southern Sqweeze a to-die-for raw organic juice bar, was the first stop. Southern Sqweeze has  juice combinations of all kind of fruits & veggies - my favorite was the pineapple wheatgrass (See their menu here). They also offer a mouth watering list of smoothies and acai bowls! You must try a Southern Sqweeze bliss ball, no questions asked they are soooo delicious! However Southern Sqweeze's goodies aren't the only thing that made them so special, the workers were so kind and friendly. It is a definite stop if you are in the area!

We ended at Leafy Street Boutique getting to know our new friend Joey, the most generous and vivacious shop owner. Joey has a great eye for labels and products. Leafy Street was loaded with yummy thermals and sweaters I just wanted to cuddle up and take a nap in! She had some of my favorite brands like WildFox, Groceries, and a new brand I discovered R&R Surplus. Joey is soon to carry one of our Bloomington favorites, American Colors. Joey is so friendly and inviting you'll never want to leave Leafy Street. She will talk to you like  your best friends and I promise you will fall in love with something on every rack.
